Weekly Date with the Hubba

For our weekly date night, the hubba and I took a nice long stroll in the late evening after having our dessert at our usual cafe, about 20-25 minutes drive from our place.

We reflected that it's been two years since we started our weekly date night back in Perth so that we could have some private time away from our work, sharing our thoughts in everything with each other.

What have we been doing every week for the past two years?

We talk about our plans for the unwritten future, reminisce the good old times of the past, the intricate details of the present. We share our goals, our ideas, our dreams and our short term & long term plans for the future. We shared everything so that we could work it out among ourselves and have things discussed and sorted out way before things happen. This made us more focused, more understanding towards each other and minimum quarrels. We've definitely came a long long way.

Having that regular time slot (especially both of us are so busy with work), forces us to share everything with each other and to do some sorta planning, which is great because it's so easy for couples to fall into a "I don't give a heck to what my partner thinking or what he/she want" or "I will share with her/him my plans/thoughts when the time comes or when things actually happened."

It's been really good for us. We enjoyed the walk, the talk and each other's company. Most importantly, we enjoyed our marriage life so far. =)
